The Bakken Area Skills Center (BASC) is a multi-million dollar building project of McKenzie County Public School District #1 with a mission to increase the availability of career and technical training for high school students and incumbent workers throughout the Bakken region.
BASC's vision is to provide in-demand training opportunities that are responsive to the needs of the region's workforce through collaborative partnerships with secondary education, post-secondary education/training, and local employers.
E Graphics LLC and McKenzie County Public School District #1 explored many logo designs during the design process. They gravitated towards a bright and earthy color palette reminiscent of the surrounding Bakken formations, that would appeal to the variety of students and workers attending the center. The unique final logo design includes a letter B, the Bakken area, and colors symbolizing oil, formations, growth, and growth.
